Custom iGoogle Theme Widget Now Available

The Google Operating System Blog turned me on to a neat widget for creating custom iGoogle web page themes. I know that when Google announced the ability to change your iGoogle theme I was among the first to change mine, and I wasn't alone, more than 30 percent of iGoogle users changed their default theme. But even though I changed my theme, I wished that a wider variety of themes were available to chose from.

And until now not much has changed.

Now with the release of this widget, Google has fulfilled its promise for allowing users to create their own custom theme. Unfortunately, they don't change based on current weather conditions, or the time of day like the Google iGoogle themes do. But you can create as custom theme for each of tab on your iGoogle page. Even better you can share your creations with your friends by emailing your iGoogle page or if you even submit your them to a public directory.

So go out there and create us some neat themes for us to choose from.
