Google is testing an new form of Google adwords, taking Google gadgets, commonly seen on iGoogle and Blogger, and allowing interactive ads to to be created with them. Imagine one of these interactive gadget ads for Pizza Hut on a blog site dedicated to your favor sports team. And say on that blog site, members are live blogging todays game. You and the rest of the sites members could use the Pizza Hut Gadget to order a Pizza without ever leaving the action on the blog site, no matter where what part of the country they were in, cool huh.
And the best part, a portion of the amount spent on the pizza goes to the owner of the web site, for profit and/or upkeep.
What else could you do with these Gadget ads, well you could for instance offer live stock quotes for your favorite stocks, paid for by your favor brokerage. Click a button and you could execute a trade, again without leaving your iGoogle page.
Or for you business users, how about a iGoogle page with gadgets from all your suppliers, and each of these gadgets list only the items you are interested in from that supplier. At a glance you could compare live prices from all your suppliers, and place your next order with the lowest cost supplier.
I think these Gadget ads will be a big hit, and may revolutionize the level of personalization available on the web.
