Google Reader Beta No More

When it rains it pours, last night the long awaited Google Presentations finally arrives and today Google Reader comes out of Beta.Today Google announced that Reader has gone to production. In addition the Google Reader team added 9 language options to the default English front end. Reader now supports French, Italian, German, Spanish, English (UK), Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Japanese, and Korean.

Hopefully just because they are no longer in Beta, Google Reader will still continue its fast pace of new feature implementation. Still expected support for 40 different languages and feed recommendation system. In the future support for the proposed Attention Data standard, APML is also expected.

While Bloglines continues to lead in the race for new subscribers, Google Reader is closing rapidly and if you combine Google Reader with iGoogle, we have a new leader.
